Only lubricants bearing designations defined by the following organization should be used.

• Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
• American Petroleum Institute (API)
• National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI)
• European Automobile Manufacturers Association, Association des Constructeurs Europeens d'Automobiles (ACEA)
