Set Condition
When the P2135 DTC becomes active, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) runs a diagnostic test to try to determine which Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is out of range. The PCM will determine a calculated MAP value based on the TPS value for both of the Throttle Position Sensors. The PCM will then look at the difference between the calculated MAP based on the TPS for each Throttle Position Sensor and the actual MAP reading and compare the two values. If the Throttle Position Sensor 1 difference is equal to or greater than the Throttle Position Sensor 2 difference, the P0121 DTC will set. One trip fault.
