Alternative Procedure

NOTE:

If electric fuel pump is not operating, fuel must be drained through fuel fill fitting at tank. Refer to following procedures:

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel pump module. Refer to MODULE, FUEL PUMP, REMOVAL .
  3. After the fuel pump module has been removed, drain fuel tank into an approved diesel fuel draining station.
