Rod, Piston And Connecting: Removal: Removal

  1. Remove the engine. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the balance shaft module. Refer to PUMP, ENGINE OIL .

  4. Remove bolts (1) and the connecting rod bearing caps.
  5. Carefully push the piston through the bore and use care not to damage the oil cooling jet or allow the end of connecting rod to hit the cylinder wall.
