Rod, Piston And Connecting: Removal: Removal

- Remove the engine. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVAL .
- Remove the balance shaft module. Refer to PUMP, ENGINE OIL .
- Remove bolts (1) and the connecting rod bearing caps.
- Carefully push the piston through the bore and use care not to damage the oil cooling jet or allow the end of connecting rod to hit the cylinder wall.
