Exhaust System: Description: Gas
The exhaust system on the 2.4L exhaust engine models consists of a front mounted catalytic converter, resonator/pipe assembly, muffler/pipe assembly with two outlets, band clamps, and support isolators. The upstream oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold. The downstream oxygen sensor is located in the catalytic converter.
The exhaust system on the 3.2L exhaust engine models consists of a front and rear mounted catalytic converter, cross under pipe, Y-pipe, resonator/pipe assembly, muffler/pipe assembly with a dual outlet, band clamps, and support isolators. The upstream oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold. The downstream oxygen sensor is located in the catalytic converter.
Resonators, mufflers, and exhaust pipes are tuned to each powertrain combination.
