Battery System (Service Information): Battery: Installation

  1. Position the battery onto the battery tray.

  2. Install the battery thermal cover.
  3. Connect the battery positive cable (1). Tighten to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the negative battery cable end (2) to the negative battery terminal.

  5. Tighten the captive clamp nut (1) to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
