Charging System (Service Information): Generator: Installation: 2.4L

1. Install the generator to the engine block. Tighten the bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
2. Install the positive cable to the rear of the generator stud. Tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
3. Connect the field generator harness connector.

4. Reposition the A/C compressor to its upright installed position and tighten the inner A/C compressor mounting bolt (2) to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
5. Install the A/C compressor forward mounting bolts (1). Tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

6. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
8. Install the engine cover.
