Module, Park Assist: Installation

- Inspect the retainers (2) on the mounting tabs of the Park Assist Module (PAM) (1) to be certain they are properly positioned and in good condition.
- Position the PAM into the right D-pillar between the pillar inner and outer panels.
- Reconnect the body wire harness connector (4) and the jumper wire harness connector (3) to the PAM connector receptacles.
- Position the PAM (1) to the inside of the inner D-pillar (2).
- Install and tighten the two screws (3) that secure the PAM within the D-pillar. Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 in. lbs.).
- Reinstall the trim onto the inside of the right D-pillar. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, INSTALLATION .
- Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
