Radiator, Engine Cooling: Removal: Diesel

- Disconnect the negative cable battery.
- Remove the cooling fans. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .
- Using the (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp), unlock the clamp and remove the radiator overflow hose from radiator (1).
- Release locking clip and remove the lower radiator hose (1) from the radiator.
- Remove the fasteners (2) and the radiator shield (1).
- Disengage the right retaining tabs (4) that secure the A/C condenser (3) to the radiator.
- Disengage the left retaining tabs (2) that secure the A/C condenser (3) to the radiator.
- Lift the condenser upward to disengage the lower mounting tab (1) and position aside the condenser.
- Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC). Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, REMOVAL .
- Lift up on radiator and remove from vehicle.
