Module, Power Liftgate Control (PLGM): Removal

NOTE:

The foam water shield is a one time use component. When removing the foam water shield, discard and replace it with new.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear cargo load floor. Refer to LOAD FLOOR, CARGO, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove and discard the foam water shield (1) from the PLGM.

  4. Disconnect the two body wire harness (2) connectors from the PLGM connector receptacles.
  5. Depress the latch feature integral to the right end (2) of the PLGM housing and pull the PLGM out and away from the body mounting panel.
  6. Disengage the two tabs integral to the left end of the PLGM housing from the slots.
  7. Remove the PLGM from the vehicle.
