Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

Position the flexplate (1) onto the crankshaft and install the bolts finger tight.
Using the sequence shown in the illustration, tighten the flexplate retaining bolts to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.
Install the transmission. Refer to appropriate service information.
