Removal And Installation: 1.4L: Installation

1. Position the starter motor (1a), then install and tighten the lower screw (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Connect the B+ electrical connection to starter motor, then install and securely tighten the nut and close the connector cover.

3. Install the upper mounting bolt (1) for the starter and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
