Front Line
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Disconnect the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) supply line connector (1) from the dosing injector. Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Release the DEF supply line from the retaining clips (2).
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the left side underbody belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Remove the plastic push pin (1) from left front wheel splash shield and position aside.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) for the DEF heater.
- Disconnect the DEF supply line quick connector (2a). Refer to FITTING, QUICK CONNECT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the supply line routing clips and remove the supply line (2b).
INSTALLATION
- Install the front Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) supply line (1a) and connect the quick connector (1b).
- Connect the DEF heater wire harness connector (2).
- Install the left side underbody belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Position the left front splash shield and install plastic push pin (1).
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Connect the supply line to routing clips (2).
- Connect the supply line to the DEF injector (1).
- Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
