Cable, Release: Installation

NOTE:

DO NOT close the cable adjuster lock until the installation is complete.

NOTE:

For safety, it is recommended to use a pneumatic or hydraulic rivet gun for installation.

  1. Position the release cable (1) onto the seat and install the NEW rivets (2).

  2. Insert the cable end (3) into the release mechanism.
  3. Clip the cable firmly into the seat bracket (2).

  4. Reach under the seat and close the cable adjuster lock (1). Do not pull on the cable when doing this. The cable is spring loaded and self adjusting, after the cable ends have been installed.
  5. Temporarily install the handle and test the function of the release cable.
  6. Route the cable and clip it into place, install zip ties as necessary.

  7. Install the side cover, starting at the front (2).

  8. Make sure the clip (2) is in place, then install the release handle.
