Removal And Installation: Installation
- Position the Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump (2) on the EHPS pump bracket.
- Install the three EHPS pump bracket nuts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to PUMP, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the EHPS pump in vehicle.
- Tighten the two EHPS pump frame bracket upper bolts (2) to the proper specification. Refer to PUMP, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .NOTE:
Make sure the O-ring is clean and seats properly.
- Install the EHPS pressure line (4) into the pump.
- Install EHPS pump pressure line bolt (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to PUMP, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the return line (3) to the EHPS pump and ensure the hose clamp is securely positioned.
- Connect the supply line (1) to the EHPS pump and ensure the hose clamp is securely positioned.
- Connect the two EHPS pump electrical connectors (2) and secure the wiring harness routing clips in the EHPS pump.
- Install the right front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - 2.0L and BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - 3.6L .
- Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
