Insulator, Engine Mount, Left: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the belly pan

    Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .

  3. If equipped, remove the skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, SIDE, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the fastener (1) and remove the negative battery cable (2) from the transmission (3).
    CAUTION:

    Failure to remove the negative battery cable may overstress to the cable due to bending during service.

  6. Remove the battery and battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL .

  8. Using a paint pen or marker, mark the location of the left isolator on the transmission bracket (4).
  9. Support the powertrain with a suitable jack.
  10. Remove the isolator to bracket bolts (5, 6).
  11. Remove the isolator to strut tower bolt (2).
  12. Remove the isolator to frame rail bolts (3) and remove the left engine mount isolator (1).

  13. If required, remove the PDC mounting studs (2) from the left engine mount isolator (1).

  14. If required, remove the four bolts (2) and the left engine mount bracket (1).
