Sensor, Wheel Speed, Front: Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to CAUTION or WARNING .

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wire harness connector.
  4. Separate sensor harness clips from retainers (1, 2).
  5. Separate the wheel speed sensor harness from the strut bracket (3).
  6. Remove the mounting bolt (5) fastening the wheel speed sensor head (4) to the knuckle. Pull the sensor head (4) out of the knuckle and remove the wheel speed cable from the vehicle.
