Manifold, Coolant: Installation

1. Install the coolant manifold (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

2. Install the lower coolant manifold (1) bolt (2) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

3. Install the turbocharger heat shield (2) bolts (1, 3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).

4. Install the coolant hose (2) to the coolant manifold (1).

5. Install the coolant hose (3) to the thermostat housing (2).
6. Install the upper radiator hose (1) to the thermostat housing (2).

7. Connect and lock the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor wire harness connector (1).

8. Install the turbocharger heat shield (2) and tighten the six bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).
9. Connect the upstream and down stream oxygen sensor wire harness connector.
10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to COOLANT SYSTEM AIR EVACUATION  .
11. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, INSTALLATION .
12. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
