Isolator, Rear CROSSMEMBER, Differential: Installation

NOTE:

Prior to using special tools, lubricate Press, Ball Joint: C-4212F (3) threads to provide ease of use and promote tool longevity.

  1. Assemble tools over isolator crossmember assembly as shown:
    1. (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint)
    2. (special tool #9031-4, Installer, Bushing)
    3. Pusher 9958-3 of (special tool #9958, Remover/Installer, Axle Bushing)
  2. Tighten Press, Ball Joint C-4212F (A) screw-drive, pressing isolator into crossmember. Install isolator until isolator can flange contacts surface of crossmember.
  3. Remove the tools.

  4. Position the stabilizer bar (2) and install the upper and lower stabilizer bar to cradle bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the rear differential. Refer to INSTALLATION .
