Latch, Liftgate: Removal

Remove the lower trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, REMOVAL .
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Remove the fasteners (1).

Disconnect the wire harness connector (2).
Remove the latch assembly (1) from the support bracket (3).
