DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Spoiler: Removal
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to remove the painted outer spoiler panel. The outer spoiler itself is glued to the liftgate assembly and is not serviceable.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the push pin fasteners (1) and remove the pinch sensors (2).
- Remove the fasteners (1) from each side of the lower spoiler.
- Using a trim stick, release the retaining tabs (3) and lower the spoiler reinforcement (4). Release the rear retaining clips (1) and separate the reinforcement (4) from the spoiler.
- Disconnect the washer hose from the washer nozzle (2).
- Release the washer hose from the spoiler reinforcement and remove the spoiler reinforcement (4) from the vehicle.
