Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

  1. Position the flexplate (3) onto the crankshaft.
  2. Install the bolts (1) hand tight.
  3. Tighten the flexplate retaining bolts to the proper in a criss-cross pattern. Refer to (TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ).
    CAUTION:

    Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  4. Install the transmission. Refer to 3.2 LITER .
