Link, Toe: Installation

  1. Position the toe link (2) and install a NEW  toe link to knuckle mounting bolt (3) and a NEW  toe link to knuckle mounting nut. Do not tighten.
  2. Install a NEW  toe link to cradle mounting bolt and a NEW  toe link to cradle mounting nut (1). Do not tighten.
  3. Using a suitable holding fixture, support the outboard end of the spring link and lift it to normal ride height.
  4. Tighten the toe link to knuckle mounting nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    NOTE:

    Position the cam as close to removal marking as possible to aid in alignment.

  5. Tighten the toe link to cradle mounting nut (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Remove the spring link holding fixture.
  7. Install the wheel. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  9. Perform an alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
