Rear Suspension: Spring(S): Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to WARNING .

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the wheel mounting bolts, then the rear tire and wheel assembly.
3. Hold the upper stud stationary and remove the stabilizer link nut (1).
4. Separate the stabilizer link (2) from the stabilizer bar.

5. Support the suspension with a jack stand or equivalent.
6. Remove the spring link bolt (4) and separate the spring link (6) from the knuckle.

7. Slowly lower the jack stand and remove the coil spring (1).
8. If replacing the spring, remove the spring isolators from the top and bottom of the spring.
