Removal And Installation: Installation

1. Install the power liftgate drive unit assembly (1) to the D-pillar.
2. Verify that the drive unit bracket mounting tab is properly seated into the hole on the D-Pillar.
3. Install the three drive unit assembly to body bolts (2).

4. Connect the drive unit wiring harness connector (1) to the drive unit assembly.
5. Install the link rod to the liftgate attachment point.
6. Install the left quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Using an appropriate scan tool, check and erase any power liftgate control module diagnostic trouble codes.
8. Perform the power liftgate learn cycle. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE LEARN CYCLE  .
9. Verify power liftgate system operation.
