Cylinder Head: Inspection

NOTE:

Typical Cylinder Head shown in illustration.

Check the flatness of the cylinder head gasket surface with a straight edge (2) and a feeler gauge (1).
The cylinder head must be flat within specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove any carbon or varnish deposits from inside of valve guides with a reliable guide cleaner.
Inspect the following components and verify that they are within specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

- Valve Guides
- Valves
