Driveshaft & Universal Joints: Description

WARNING:

Due to propeller shaft imbalance concerns, the propeller shaft can only be serviced as an assembly.

All Wheel Drive (AWD) models utilize a "two-piece" driveshaft to transmit torque from the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) to the Rear Driveline Module (RDM) assembly. This two-piece design consists of:

Front and rear shaft segments
Seals (1) to prevent contaminants from entering the splined connections
Snap rings (2) to retain the splined couplings at the PTU and the RDM
Center support bearing (3)
