Removal And Installation: 2.4L: Removal
WARNING:
The fuel system is under constant pressure even with engine off. Before servicing fuel injector(s), fuel system pressure must be released.
NOTE:
To remove one or more fuel injectors, the fuel rail assembly must be removed from engine.
- Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY, GAS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the fuel rail assembly. Refer to RAIL, FUEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the fuel injector retaining clip(s) (2) from the fuel rail (1).
- Remove the injector(s) (3) from the fuel rail assembly.
- Remove and discard the fuel injector O-rings (1).
