Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Remove the two upper bolts (1) securing the generator.

  5. Remove the lower bolt (1) and position aside the generator.

  6. Disconnect the power cord plug from the engine block heater (1).
  7. Remove the bolt (2) and the engine block heater (1).
