IAT Sensor

REMOVAL 

1. Clean any dirt from the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor base on the air cleaner resonator.

2. Disconnect the IAT sensor wire harness connector.
3. Rotate the IAT sensor 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and remove the sensor from the air cleaner resonator.

INSPECTION AND CLEANING 

Inspection

• If re-using the IAT sensor, inspect the O-ring for damage. Replace the O-ring if damaged.
• Clean the IAT sensor mounting hole in the air inlet hose.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Apply a small amount of engine oil to the IAT sensor O-ring before installation.
