Map Sensor

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   1 - Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

2. Disconnect the MAP sensor wire harness connector.
3. Rotate the MAP sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Pull the sensor straight up and out of the upper intake manifold.

INSPECTION AND CLEANING 

Inspection

• If re-using the MAP sensor, inspect the O-ring for damage. Replace the O-ring if damaged.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Apply a small amount of engine oil to the MAP sensor O-ring before installation.
