Engine Block Heater

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the intake air tube. Refer to TUBE, INTAKE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the A/C compressor and position aside. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. Disconnect the engine block heater power cord.

  6. Remove the engine block heater bolt and the engine block heater.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Clean the engine block heater hole and seat.
  2. Install the engine block heater and tighten the engine block heater bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  3. Connect the engine block heater power cord.
  4. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the intake air tube. Refer to TUBE, INTAKE AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
