Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1/2
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the DPF elbow.
- Remove the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Refer to FILTER, DIESEL PARTICULATE, REMOVAL .CAUTION:
The exhaust gas temperature sensor requires care when handling and installing. The exhaust gas temperature sensor is sensitive to knocks and bending. For this reason if the exhaust gas temperature sensor has been dropped, it must not be installed as damage to the sensor may have occurred. Do not remove from packaging until ready to install. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
- Remove the EGT sensor (3).
