Starting System (Service Information): Starter: Installation: 6.2L

  1. Install the starter and tighten the stud bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .
  2. Connect the starter solenoid wire harness connector.
  3. Install the battery cable and tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .
  4. Install the starter heat shield and tighten the one front bolt and two rear nuts to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .

  5. Install the front driveshaft (1). Refer to INSTALLATION .

  6. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the suspension skid plate. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
