Starting System (Service Information): Starter: Removal: 5.7L
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the left front catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL .
- Remove the starter heat shield.
- Disconnect the starter solenoid wire harness connector.
- Remove the nut and the battery positive cable from starter.
- Remove the two bolts (2) and the starter (1) from the vehicle.
