Sensor, Mass Airflow (MAF): Description
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor (3) is located in the air intake port between the air filter and the turbocharger. The MAF sensor is a hot film thermal flowmeter with an integrated intake air/temperature, humidity and pressure sensor which detects the intake air temperature. The MAF sensor is designed for recording load on combustion engines with diesel fuel injection and has a cylinder size in accordance with the required air flow rate.
