Pump, Transmission Oil: Assembly

1. Install the transmission oil pump seal (1).
2. Install the transmission oil pump O-ring (2).

3. Carefully install the drive sprocket, chain and pump body (1) as an assembly into the oil pump housing.

4. Set the pump cover (1) onto the oil pump housing (2).

5. Install NEW  oil pump housing bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

6. Install NEW  oil pump housing inner (1) and outer (2) O-rings.

7. Install a NEW  clutch A piston seal (2) and install the clutch A piston (1).

8. Install the plate and clutch A belleville spring (1).

9. Position the transmission oil pump housing assembly (4) in a suitable arbor press.
10. Using (special tool #8285, Compressor, Spring) (1), press on the fingers of the piston belleville spring to remove tension, and install the two halves of the split retainer ring (2).

11. Install the hub (3).
12. Install the clutches and spacers (4).
13. Install the snap ring (2).
14. Install the outer ring (1) (clutch B piston).

15. Position the clutch B piston alignment tab above the notch (2) and install the clutch B piston (1) on the assembly.
16. Install the transmission oil pump. Refer to PUMP, TRANSMISSION OIL, INSTALLATION .
