Removal And Installation: Removal

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Release the block heater power cord (1) from upper radiator inlet hose (2) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) mounting bracket.
3. Disconnect the power cord connector from the engine block heater (3).

4. Lift the retainer clip (1) and slide the engine block heater (2) out of the engine block.
