If installing a new transmission, remove the shipping cap from the vent.

The automatic transmission is joined to the engine outside of the vehicle and then installed into the vehicle as an assembly with the engine. Refer to 1.3L ENGINE AND 948TE and 1.3L ENGINE AND 948TE TRANSMISSION SEPARATION or 2.4L WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - FWD or 2.4L WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - AWD and ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SEPARATION- 2.4L MULTIAIR FWD or ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SEPARATION - 2.4L MULTIAIR AWD .
