Removal And Installation: Removal

Remove the Driver Air Bag (DAB). Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the remote radio switches. Refer to SWITCH, REMOTE RADIO, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Remove the fastener (1a) and pull the speed control switch (1b) away from the steering wheel.
Release the wire harness (2a) from the retainer and the wire harness connector (2b) from its retainer.
NOTE:
Note the routing of the wire harness in the steering wheel for ease of installation.

Disconnect the wire harness connector (1).
Remove the speed control switch (2).

NOTE:

Perform the same operation to remove the left remote radio switch and Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) switch on the opposite side of the steering wheel.
