Diagnostic Test

REPLACE PCM AND RETEST FOR DTCS 

1. If this DTC is present, replace and program the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Park the vehicle and allow it to sit with the ignition off for 8.5 hours.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read Powertrain Control Module (PCM) DTCs.

   Did the DTC return?

   Yes 

   • Replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Repair is complete. The Powertrain Control Module fixed the vehicle.
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
