Compass Module

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 2.0L, 12-VOLT BATTERY DISCONNECT/CONNECT - PHEV and/or 3.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 3.6L, HYBRID, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 6.4L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the passenger air bag (Refer to AIR BAG, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).

    1 - Compass Module
    2 - Fastener
    3 - Wire Harness Connector
  3. Working within the Instrument Panel (IP), disconnect the wire harness connector from the compass module.
  4. Remove the compass module to instrument panel fasteners.
  5. Remove the compass module from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
