Drag Link: Notes
REMOVAL
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right front tire. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Drag Link Inner Nut 2 - Drag Link Outer Nut NOTE:Hold the end of the ball stud with a wrench when removing or installing the nuts to prevent damage to the tie rod.
- Remove and DISCARD the drag link outer nut.
- Separate the drag link from the steering knuckle using special tool (special tool #9360, Remover, Ball Joint) separator.
- Remove and DISCARD the drag link inner nut.
- Separate the drag link from the pitman arm using special tool (special tool #9360, Remover, Ball Joint) separator.
- Remove the drag link.
INSTALLATION
During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

- Position the drag link to the pitman arm.NOTE:
Hold the end of the ball stud with a wrench when removing or installing the nuts to prevent damage to the tie rod.
- Install a NEW drag link inner nut and tighten to the proper torque specifications.
- Position the drag link to the steering knuckle.
- Install a NEW drag link outer nut and tighten to the proper torque specifications.
- Install the right side tire. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Set the toe. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
