Pump, Water: Removal: 2.4L

Remove the right front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLING/STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

Remove the three bolts (1) and the water pump pulley (2).
Remove the bolts (3) the water pump (4) and the water pump gasket (8).
Inspect the water pump housing (6) for impeller contact.
