Removal And Installation: FLEXPLATE: Removal

Remove the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

1 - Flexplate to Crankshaft Bolts

2 - Torque Converter Bolts
Using a crisscross pattern, remove and DISCARD the flexplate bolts.
CAUTION:
Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.
Remove the flexplate.
