Engine Compartment: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .

  2. Remove the front Power Distribution Center (PDC) cover by pushing inward on the latches and lifting up on the PDC cover.

  3. Remove the eyelet nuts and disconnect the eyelets from the PDC.

  4. Loosen the PDC bolts.
    NOTE:

    The PDC bolts are captured and cannot be removed from the PDC.

  5. Release the tabs on the sides of the PDC and lift upward to remove the PDC from the PDC bracket.

  6. Unlatch and pull up to disconnect the wire harness connectors from the PDC bracket. Be careful not to damage the connectors.
  7. Remove the eyelet nuts and disconnect the eyelets from the PDC bracket.

  8. Remove the PDC bracket nuts.
  9. Raise the PDC bracket slightly. If equipped, disconnect the wire harness connector and remove the PDC bracket from the vehicle.
  10. If equipped, and necessary, remove the Power Control Relay or Dual Battery Switch Module by removing the bolts and sliding it out of the PDC bracket.
  11. If necessary, remove the Z-case Fuse Array. Refer to FUSE, Z-CASE ARRAY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
