Vehicle Speed Sensor

NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS .

Raise and support front of vehicle. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DVOM, backprobe between ground and VSS connector terminal No. 1. See Figure. Rotate front wheels. If voltage pulses between one and 10 volts, inspect circuits between ground and TCM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as needed. If circuits are okay, replace VSS.
