Oil Pump: Inspection
Check oil pump for broken or worn seal rings, weak springs and damaged or worn sliding surfaces. Replace as necessary. Measure oil pump components clearances. See OIL PUMP COMPONENT CLEARANCES
table. Use appropriate gauge bar, feeler gauge and/or micrometer as necessary. If clearances are not within specifications, replace oil pump.
