Brake Band: Reassembly

NOTE: Install spring exactly in direction shown.

Install orifice valve, orifice check spring and orifice holder as shown.

Install orifice assembly and washer to transaxle case.
Tighten orifice assembly using a hexagonal wrench.
Tightening torque: 29-39 lb.ft (40-53 N.m,4.0-5.0 kg/cm ² )
Install band strut.
Install 2-4 brake band.

Apply ATF to new D-rings and install them to servo piston.
D-ring inner diameter:

Piston stem side: 2.303 in (58.5 mm)

Servo retainer side: 1.157 in (29.4 mm)

Insert piston stem into servo piston and secure it with a new spring clip.

Apply ATF to new O-ring and install it to servo retainer.
O-ring inner diameter: 2.587 in (65.7 mm)

Assemble servo piston and servo retainer.
NOTE: Do not install servo piston and retainer into transaxle case at this time.
Install snap ring.
