Front Door: Installation

  1. Install the regulator assembly.
    1. Position the regulator assembly through the access hole.
    2. Install six mounting bolts.

      Tightening torque :

      4-6 N.m (0.4-0.6 kg.m, 3-4 lb.ft)

    3. Connect the electrical connector for the motor of the regulator assembly.
  2. Install window glass.
    1. Position the glass carefully :

      Hold the glass from both its inner and outer surfaces. While tilting it towards the hinge side of the door, place it on the small bracket on the window regulator assembly.

    2. Loosely install two glass mounting bolts on the power window regulator assembly.

    3. Reconnect the window operating switch.
    4. Connect the negative battery cable.
    5. Turn on the ignition and move the glass up and down to ensure proper function.
    6. Make adjustments as necessary.
      7. CAUTION: When removing or installing any electrical units wiring or electrical connectors, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent possible short circuits which could lead to personal injury and/or property damage.
    7. Turn off the ignition.
    8. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    9. Tighten two glass mounting bolts on the power window regulator assembly.
    10. Connect the negative battery cable.
    11. Turn on the ignition.
    12. Position the window all the way down.
      13. CAUTION: When removing or installing any electrical units wiring or electrical connectors, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent possible short circuits which could lead to personal injury and/or property damage.
    13. Turn off the ignition.
  3. Install the run channel. Use soap and water for lubrication.
  4. Install the plastic door screen.
    1. Fasten the plastic door screen.
    2. Pull out the electrical harness connector from the plastic door screen.
    3. Pull out the remote control rod for the inside door handle from the plastic door screen.
  5. Install the door speaker with four mounting screws.
  6. Install the pull handle bracket with two mounting screws.

  7. Install the inside door handle with three mounting screws.

  8. Install door trim
    1. Install the door trim by lifting it up.
    2. Connect the electrical connector.
    3. Install the inner door handle cover with one mounting screw.

    4. Fasten the door trim.
    5. Install three mounting screws.

    6. Install the screw on the pull handle.

  9. Install inner door garnish.
  10. Install inner weatherstrip.
  11. Connect negative battery cable.
